The Palm Springs Pinot Festival aka “Passion 4 Pinot” is dedicated to furthering the viticulture, and enology industries. 

Scholarship applications accepted through February 15th, 2026.

Fresh Eddie Futures, is a 501C3 nonprofit organization that awards scholarships for full time students majoring in and in the pursuit of a degree in enology/viticulture. The scholarships do not need to be repaid.  The money for the scholarships is raised by the Palm Springs Pinot Fest aka “Passion 4 Pinot”. The scholarships are only awarded to people who are enrolled and majoring in enology /viticulture at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and Fresno State.

Applications will be accepted until  February 15th, 2026. The funds will be sent to the schools in March 2026 (or an appropriate time for use in 2026).

The scholarship award is not transferable without the prior written permission of Fresh Eddie Futures, and permission may be denied at the sole discretion of Fresh Eddie Futures. Fresh Eddie Futures asks and expects feedback from scholarship winners about their achievements, experiences and future goals before graduation, and again, six (6) months after the end of your studies.

The scholarship funds will be sent directly to the school the successful applicant is attending.   All applicants are responsible for supplying their contact information at the time they submit the application, and again, after they start school, including addresses, home and cell phone numbers and email addresses.

Successful winning applicants are also required to supply the name of the school along with the name, title, and mailing address of the person at the school to whom the check will be sent.

This application must be accurately filled out in full, along with the statement, resume, and letters of recommendation to be considered. Should false information be provided as a part of the application process, Fresh Eddie Futures has the right to terminate any scholarship awarded or request the repayment of the scholarship, so make sure that all information provided is accurately stated. All scholarship recipients, by signing the Application, acknowledge the accuracy of the information stated and agree that their name and photos of him or her may be used for the benefit of Fresh Eddie Futures and its scholarship program.

The deadline for accepting applications is February 15th, 2026. Applicants who are selected for the second-round interviews will be notified no later than March 2026.   Interviews will either be held in-person or via a Zoom call mid to late February and early March 2026.  Winning Scholarship recipients will be notified by March 15th. 2026.
