The Palm Springs Pinot Festival aka “Passion 4 Pinot” is dedicated to furthering the viticulture, and enology industries. Winners are announced and recognized at the Palm Springs Pinot Fest Grand tasting Event.

Scholarship applications accepted through October 15th, 2024.

Fresh Eddie Futures, is a 501C3 nonprofit organization that awards scholarships for full time students majoring in and in the pursuit of a degree in enology/viticulture. The scholarships typically range from $1000 to $1,500 and the funds do not need to be repaid.  The money for the scholarships is raised by the Palm Springs Pinot Fest aka  “Passion 4 Pinot”.  The scholarships are only awarded to people who are enrolled and majoring in enology /viticulture at any of these three California Universities, U.C Davis, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and Fresno State. 

Applications will be accepted until Friday, October 15th, 2024. The funds will be sent to the schools on or around February 2025 (or an appropriate time for use in 2025).

The scholarship award is not transferable without the prior written permission of Fresh Eddie Futures, and permission may be denied at the sole discretion of Fresh Eddie Futures. Fresh Eddie Futures asks and expects feedback from scholarship winners about their achievements, experiences and future goals before graduation, and again, six (6) months after the end of your studies.

The scholarship funds will be sent directly to the school the successful applicant will be attending. All applicants are responsible for supplying their contact information at the time they submit the application, and again, after they start school, including addresses, home and cell phone numbers and email addresses.

Successful applicants are also required to supply the name of the school along with the name, title, and mailing address of the person at the school to whom a check will be sent, for applications that are successful. All contact information must be supplied to Fresh Eddie Futures no later than January 17, 2025. If this is not done, there will be a reduction in the scholarship award unless the Scholarship Committee has accepted extenuating circumstances.

This application must be accurately filled out in full, along with the statement, resume, and letters of recommendation to be considered. Should false information be provided as a part of the application process, Fresh Eddie Futures has the right to terminate any scholarship awarded or request the repayment of the scholarship, so make sure that all information provided is accurately stated. All scholarship recipients, by signing the Application, acknowledge the accuracy of the information stated and agree that their name and photos of him or her may be used for the benefit of Fresh Eddie Futures and its scholarship program.

The deadline for accepting applications is October 15th, 2024. Applicants who are selected for the second-round interviews will be notified no later than October 30th. Interviews will either be held in-person or via a Soom call during the month of November 2024.
